About the Role
As a Systems Engineer at Jolera, you'll be a key player in designing, configuring, and managing cutting-edge virtualized infrastructures, encompassing VMware, Hyper-V, and Citrix technologies. Your expertise in Windows Server environments, combined with proficiency in multi-vendor, multi-site infrastructures, will be crucial in providing seamless solutions. Responsibilities
As a Virtualization and Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Demonstrate advanced expertise in virtualization technologies, including VMware, Hyper-V, and Citrix XenServer. Design, configure, and manage virtualized infrastructures, ensuring optimal resource utilization and performance.
- Leverage deep experience with Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022, to integrate and manage Windows-based workloads within Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments.
- Implement and maintain system environments, including but not limited to:
-Designing, implementing, and maintaining compute and storage technologies such as Cisco UCS/HyperFlex, VMware, Citrix, Windows, Azure, and AWS.
-Establish and maintain the physical and logical architecture of all components. o Perform Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS, DFS, ADFS Administration.
-Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor, multi-site infrastructure.
-Ensure system fail-over capabilities between critical operational components and data centers.
- Provide comprehensive systems administration functions on AWS infrastructure, including support for AWS products such as AWS Console root user administration, Key Management, EC2 Compute, S3 Storage, AWS Networking & Content delivery (VPC, ELB, etc.), Identity & Access Management, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, Auto Scaling, Cost and Usage Reports.
- Analyze EC2 instance and S3 storage performance and resize to meet performance requirements and control costs.
- Experience in deploying provisioning services both MCS and PVS, Citrix DaaS, and NetScaler.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco HCI, including Hyperflex, UCS chassis, blades, and FIs.

- Server virtualization, desktop virtualization, and application virtualization
- Server/Compute (Cisco UCS/HyperFlex, Dell PowerEdge/Vxrail, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS)
- Rackmount, blade chassis, converged, and hyper-converged infrastructure
- Storage (Dell EMC VMAX, VNX, Unity, hybrid arrays, all-flash arrays, FC, iSCSI, CIFS, NFS)
- Backup and Replication / Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (Veeam Backup and Replication, VMware Site Recovery Manager, Azure Site Recovery)
- Microsoft Stack (Azure, Exchange, Office365)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working for a managed service provider, value-added reseller, or solution provider supporting multiple customer accounts.
